KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

 Enrollment Packet (English)

Union County Primary School has reserved the last week in April to screen and pre-register new kindergarten students who will be beginning school in the 2012-2013 school year. The required pre-registration will be on an appointment basis Monday, April 30 through Friday, May 4 at the Union County Primary School. The appointments will be scheduled between 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Parents may call (706-745-5450) or come by the school to schedule an appointment. For the best selection in appointment times, please schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

 

Pre-registration can be expedited if parents complete an enrollment packet prior to their appointmentA copy of the enrollment packet is available on the school system’s website at www.ucschools.org, the Primary School front office or the Board of Education office. Parents who bring a completed enrollment packet to their appointment will be entered in a drawing for a girl’s and a boy’s backpack filled with school supplies for their child’s 1st day of school.

 

All children who turn five years of age on or before September 1st, 2012 are eligible to attend kindergarten in the upcoming school year. Eligible children who have been attending Union County Pre-K, the Child Enrichment Center, or any other Day Care program will need to pre-register for kindergarten.

 

Both Parents AND Students are required to be at the registration appointment and bring the following items:

 

- Parent’s Photo I.D.;

 

- Completed Enrollment Packet;

 

- Certified copy of student’s Birth Certificate; or certified hospital issued birth record or birth certificate

 

- Student’s Social Security Card;

 

- Immunization Certificate;

-- Current Georgia Department of Human Resources immunization record (Form 3231)

-- Note: Out of State Immunization Records will need to be taken to your GA primary care physician or Union County Health Department to be transferred to a Georgia Immunization Certificate (Form 3231) prior to the

pre-registration appointment.

 

- Notarized Affidavit of Union County Residency

-- Located in the above mentioned enrollment packet.

-- The form can be notarized at pre-registration, if the form is not signed prior to the appointment.

 

Parents are welcome to contact the Primary School (706-745-5450) for answers to any questions you may have regarding the 2012-2013 Kindergarten Pre-Registration. Call soon to make your appointment. And bring a completed enrollment packet to your appointment for a chance to win a backpack filled with school supplies.

 

 

 New Student Registration:

New and transferring students in kindergarten through twelfth grade (K-12) may be registered for the upcoming school year at the Central Enrollment Office located in the Union County Elementary School at 165 Elementary Way Blairsville, GA 30512. Parents will need to contact the Central Enrollment Office at 706-835-4321 to schedule an enrollment appointment.

 In order to expedite the registration process, it is highly recommended that parents download the “Enrollment Packet” from the school system’s website at www.ucshools.org. The packet will need to be completed prior to the registration appointment.

The following documents are required for registration:

  • Parent’s Photo I.D.
  • Completed Enrollment Packet
  • Certified copy of student’s Birth Certificate; or certified hospital issued birth record or birth certificate
  • Student’s Social Security Card
  • Immunization Certificate

        -- Current Georgia Department of Human Resources immunization record (Form 3231)

Union County Schools will be practicing safety drills using a variety of scenarios.  Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency equipment  or your student comes home saying the police or fire persons were in their building.  School safety is of great importance therefore, we will be practicing regularly.
