Union County Schools focuses on Common Core Georgia
Performance Standards (CCGPS)
The Union County School System strives to stay abreast of state regulations and best practices in instruction. The upcoming 2012-2013 school year is no exception as our school system focuses on a national set of Common Core curriculum standards adopted by Georgia as well as many other states. The national Common Core standards have been personalized for Georgia students resulting in what is commonly known as CCGPS. There will be ongoing training for teachers and administrators in preparation for implementing and testing based on these standards. Click here for a brochure detailing the CCGPS initiative.

Union County Schools will be practicing safety drills using a variety
of scenarios. Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency
equipment or your student comes home saying the police or fire persons
were in their building. School safety is of great importance
therefore, we will be practicing regularly.
